Silver Lake in the Rain was taken during one of those fleeting moments that barely announce themselves. I had been watching the weather roll in — dark clouds stacking over the lake — when a sudden break opened in the sky. Just long enough to light up the distant treeline like a spotlight. No haze, no diffusion — just a clear, direct hit of light through the rain. Then it closed again, and the sky dumped everything it had.
