Shot during a summer hike in Little Cottonwood Canyon, this image captures the view across Albion Basin on the trail toward Cecret Lake. The sun was low — not quite golden hour yet — but casting enough heat to make the wildflowers glow. The ridge in the distance always feels imposing, like it’s watching the basin below.

This kind of light doesn’t last. I remember taking this shot quickly, not because I was rushed, but because it felt like the kind of scene that didn’t want to be overworked. One frame. Just enough. Then I moved on.
